Lanzhi T8 electric ute earns five-star ANCAP rating

29 July 2026 · Owen Marsh

The Lanzhi T8 has been awarded the maximum five-star ANCAP rating, the first electric ute in the Cloud Mobility range to be tested.

The Lanzhi T8 has earned a five-star ANCAP safety rating, the maximum available and the first five-star result for an electric ute in the Cloud Mobility Group range.

The rating covers the Australian specification as sold, including the driver assistance package fitted as standard. ANCAP results are published against each model on its vehicle page, alongside the ADR certification status and any open recalls.

"Utes do a different job to passenger cars and they carry different loads, so the result matters more than the headline number suggests," said Owen Marsh, who oversees service and compliance. "Five stars on a working vehicle is a good outcome for the tradespeople and councils buying them."

The T8 is available now through the dealer network, with fleet pricing available for orders of five vehicles or more.
