Cloud Mobility shortlisted for WA government fleet framework

Cloud Mobility Group has been shortlisted for the Western Australian government's electric vehicle fleet framework, covering up to 120 vehicles.

Cloud Mobility Group has been shortlisted for the Western Australian government's electric vehicle framework, a tender covering up to 120 vehicles across state agencies.

The framework is being assessed on total cost of ownership rather than purchase price alone, which brings servicing coverage, parts availability and depot charging into the evaluation — the parts of a fleet programme that are hardest to retrofit once vehicles are on the road.

"Government fleets ask the questions everyone should be asking," said Tom Byrne, who leads fleet and commercial. "Where are the service centres, what is the parts lead time, who installs the depot chargers. We would rather be judged on those than on a discount."

A decision is expected before the end of the year. The group's fleet team works with government, rental, logistics and aged-care operators across the eastern states and Western Australia.
